East Hampshire District Council are holding a Community Forum meeting in Medstead Village Hall at 6.30pm on 22nd April 2014..
The Joint Core Strategy, drawn up with the South Downs National Park as a blueprint for development in the district until 2028 – has set the numbers of homes to be built in the district and broad locations.
The next stage – the Housing Allocations Plan – will determine the sites where these homes will be built.
This part of the process is expected to take up to 18 months and will identify which sites are the most sustainable for development. The Community Forum will explain what has happened so far, what will happen next and how residents can get involved.
Cllr Ken Carter, EHDC Portfolio Holder for Communities, said:
“It’s your forum, it’s your opinions and views that matter and I hope we will get a good crowd ready to find out more and take part.”
This is your opportunity to let EHDC what you think about their plans for development in Four Marks and Medstead, and your strong objection to the proposed David Wilson Homes development outside the settlement boundary to the west of Four Marks next to Barn Lane.
Thank you. We hope to see you there!
